225g butter
Cup of raisins
1/2 cup soft brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 cups of self raising flour

Place the butter, raisins and sugar in a saucepan, over a medium heat, melt the butter, bring to the boil, then leave to cool.

Preheat the oven to 180"c

Add the eggs and self raising flour, mix well.

Pour the mixture into an 8" round greased and lined cake tin.

Bake for 40 minutes or until a skewer pushed through the center comes out clean.

Leave to cool thoroughly before turning out of the cake tin.
This cake never lasts more than a day in our house!
