Serves 4
225g Penne pasta
Salt and pepper
275g ham cut into strips (or diced bacon pieces)
Butter for greasing
3 eggs
450ml single cream
150g Gruyere cheese, grated
50g Parmesan cheese, grated.
1 Tomato, sliced.

Pre heat the oven to 190`c.

Put the pasta in a pan of boiling salted water and cook for 8-10 minutes until just tender. Drain well.

Stir ham into the pasta and put into a greased ovenproof dish.

Beat together the eggs, cream, seasoning and add half of the Gruyere cheese.

Pour the mixture over the pasta.

Sprinkle the remaining Gruyere and the parmesan cheese over the top and dress with tomato, bake for 40 mins, until golden brown.
