Turkey Creole

1 tablespoon butter
1 clove crushed garlic
1 small onion finely chopped
1 tablespoon plain flour
1 teaspoon medium chilli powder
1 can chopped tomato’s
1/2 cup chicken stock
1 1/2 cups chopped turkey
1/2 cup sliced button mushrooms
Salt and pepper

 

 

 

 

  • Heat the butter in a medium sized saucepan
  • Fry the garlic and onion until softened
  • Stir in the flour and chilli powder cook for a further minute stirring continuously
  • Add the tin of tomato’s and chicken stock stir until the sauce boils and thickens
  • Add the turkey and mushrooms
  • Add salt and pepper to taste then serve over a bed of rice
