230g plain flour
110g cornflour
100g caster sugar
230g diced butter, plus a little extra for greasing
80g chocolate chips (I used dark)

Preheat the oven to 160`c

Grease and line a 9 inch baking tin

Sift the flour and cornflour into a large bowl,stir in the sugar

Add the butter and rub together until the mixture starts to bind together

Turn the mixture into your prepared tin, press evenly over the top. Prick the surface with a fork,

Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the top and lightly press them in

Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until cooked but not browned

Mark the portions with a sharp knife then leave to cool for about 15 minutes when you can carefuly remove and place on a cooling rack to cool completely.
